slow as a turtle they say

so i guess i shouldn't be surprised that i'm a slower laboror....just like how i run. doesn't the slow turtle always win in the end anyways?
We were 3 cm dilated yesterday at noon when we went to the doctor. the baby was in station 0. this means that baby has dropped and close to delivery. so we were assured we were indeed in early labor. yay. i spent most of the day and evening having contractions anywhere from every 20 minutes to every 5 minutes and increased pain each contraction. all good progress. around 9:30pm we decided to get some sleep as it didn't seem we were progressing too much.
i was able to fall asleep easily. i woke at 11:30 to a few hard contractions but then fell back to sleep around 1am. at 4am i woke to some more contractions. i had to go potty and found that i had passed my plug (for those that don't know what this is but it basically covers the cervix, so when that releases it's just another indicator that i'm getting ready to have this baby).
so obviously i'm still not in active labor. though i did just have another contraction.
i think we'll start taking walks and get this ball a rolling ;) keep praying for us...it looks like we have a long way to go.
